Steph Curry reacts to Doc Rivers’ emotional speech

Stephen Curry has praised Los Angeles Clippers head coach Doc Rivers for the moving speech he delivered on Tuesday, which came in the wake of the recent shooting of Jacob Blake. Rivers had a very powerful message about the Black community living in fear, and in Curry’s mind, he could not agree more with Rivers’ statements:

Rivers delivered a very passionate speech in his postgame interview, talking about how the Black community continues to be oppressed by the systemic racism that has plagued the nation. He also talked about his father, who was also a police officer, and expressed how he still believes in “good cops.” However, Rivers remains adamant that a lot of changes need to be implemented throughout the police force. The Golden State Warriors superstar praised Rivers for being the voice of reason in what has been another shocking development. As Curry said, a lot of people have been lost for words with yet another incident of police officers shooting an unarmed Black man, and it is important that people like Rivers are able to articulate the sentiments of the oppressed.
