Steph Curry and wife Ayesha Curry have announced the starting of a fundraiser on Facebook, using their Eat.Learn.Play Foundation to raise money for Feeding America during the coronavirus pandemic.
The Currys’ foundation is aimed to raise $200,000 for the charity that launched on Thursday.
All of the proceeds will go straight to Feeding America, the nonprofit organization that feeds more than 46 million people in its network of more than 200 food banks.
And, as the Currys stated, Feeding America’s efforts are needed even more with school closures, job disruptions and lost wages affecting so many people.
“We are grateful for Eat.Learn.Play. Foundation’s partnership to raise funds to help Feeding America provide people with the food they need during this challenging time,” Feeding America CEO Claire Babineaux-Fontenot said in a release.
“Their latest fundraiser is a testament to Stephen and Ayesha Curry’s ongoing commitment to feeding children and their families, especially at this moment, when many more people will be at risk of hunger as they cope with this crisis.”
