The Match is set to be back for yet another round. In May, Peyton Manning teamed up with Tiger Woods defeated Tom Brady and Phil Mickelson in the second edition of Turner Sports’ “The Match” series of golf matchplay events for charity.
On November 27, “
The Match 3: Champions for Change” will feature Manning, Mickelson, Golden State Warriors superstar Steph Curry, and NBA Hall of Famer and Turner analyst Charles Barkley.
Curry is philanthropically involved with historically black colleges and universities (HBCUs) — including funding Howard University’s golf program — and the upcoming Match will reportedly align with that cause in some way. Capital One will again be the title sponsor for the event.
