Newcastle United made a stunning start to their Premier League season on Saturday by beating West Ham 2-0. Callum Wilson and Jeff Henrick helped Newcastle to defeat the Hammers. Now Newcastle will take on Blackburn in the League Cup before a home clash with Brighton next weekend. Steve Bruce has vowed to make changes for the clash. The boss confirmed Ryan Fraser will make his Newcastle United debut tomorrow night. Fraser – who didn’t sign a contract extension enabling him to play in the Premier League’s summer restart – was an unused substitute against West Ham. Head coach Bruce said: “Ryan Fraser will make his debut and Ciaran Clark will play. Let’s hope we can get through to the next round.” On his team selection for the second-round tie, Bruce added: “We’ll still take it seriously. But I’ve got a squad of players now. I will make changes, I’m not going to dispute that. I still expect us to get into the next round.”
