Fabrizio Romano opens up about what he's heard about Leeds United new manager Jesse Marsch.
Romano claimed Marsch has never managed in Premier League, so that's why there are lots of criticisms about this appointment, but he needs time.
As a very respected transfer expert, speaking on
Rio Ferdinand’s YouTube channel, the Italian journalist stated:
“He’s the manager they had in the list for a long time. I have had very different positions when I ask about him.
"A lot of people appreciate him and his relationships with his players, they think it wasn’t easy for him to join Leipzig and they were disappointed with what happened at Leipzig,”
“From Salzburg, he was doing a great job with his players and his system, he needs time, and this is why I’m worried for Leeds because it’s not easy to give time to an American manager coming for the first time in the Premier League.
"It’s about how much time he’ll have to show his ideas and skills as a manager.
"But at the same point, from the players’ side, I have very good feedback on Marsch, they love his approach, love his ideas and love his methods.
"It’s more about the club, they need to back him, to support him and give him time to show his ideas.” Romano added.
