Granit Xhaka gifted West Ham the lead in Saturday’s London Derby due to his schoolboy error.
The Switzerland international joined Arsenal from Borussia Monchengladbach in a deal worth £35million three seasons ago. But his propensity to make costly and avoidable errors continue to undermine his progress.
According to the statistics, Granit Xhaka has now made more errors leading to goals in the Premier League (5) than any other outfield player since the start of last season. And so it proved again in the 48th minute at the London Stadium when Felipe Anderson under-hit his cross and Xhaka appeared to be in the perfect position to snuff out any danger but he failed to do so.
Arsenal fans showed their anger by their tweets.
