According to the BBC, the Africa Cup of Nations competition has been pushed back to 2022 due to recent events, which could gift the Reds a Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane boost for next season’s title defence. Before the competition’s postponement, Liverpool looked set to miss Mane and Salah’s influence for a short period next season – with Afcon originally meant to commence in January 2021.
