Three Manchester City players to miss Southampton clash

Manchester City will host Southampton in the Premier League on Saturday, October 8.

City celebrated a 6-3 victory over Manchester United last weekend, meanwhile, the Saints suffered a 2-1 defeat to Everton.

Pep Guardiola's side are currently second in the league table, while Southampton are 16th.

City could be without three players for the game against the Saints as Kalvin Phillips, John Stones and Kyle Walker are currently sidelined.

Phillips is out with a shoulder injury and the player's return date is unknown as he underwent surgery. Meanwhile, John Stones suffered a hamstring injury while on an international break.

As for Walker, he suffered a groin injury during City's 6-3 victory over Manchester United and didn't participate in the 5-0 victory over Copenhagen in the Champions League group stage game on Wednesday, October 5 and has undergone surgery.
