Quique Setien
Quique Setien, who is currently in the managerial job at Real Betis has the ideal characteristics for the Barcelona job. He is a proponent of the Johan Cruyff style. The 60-year-old doesn’t have a Barcelona past, but what he has achieved in the past three years with Las Palmas and Real Betis has been impressive. Setien took Real Betis to Europe and has led them to victories at famous stadiums. According to a poll run by Spanish outlet
Marca, Quique Setien received 30% of the votes from Barcelona fans. However, it would cost around a million euros to prise him away from Real Betis.
Xavi
Xavi played 767 times for Barcelona and he previously stated his desire to take the Barcelona job. He is currently earning his coaching badges while he continues to play in Qatar. He has no managerial experience but would be a firm favourite with the fans. However, according to Marca, if we asked Xavi about a replacement for Valverde then he’d surely vote for Setien.
Roberto Martinez
Roberto Martinez led Belgium National team to a very impressive third-place finish at the World Cup in Russia. Martinez likes to play football, almost the Barcelona way. He is capable of managing some of the biggest players in world football.
