Three ways Manchester United could line up with Antoine Griezmann transfer

Barcelona star Antoine Griezmann could seal a summer transfer to Manchester United amid uncertainty over his future at the Nou Camp. It could be a huge boost for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's side. The La Liga side signed Griezmann from Atletico Madrid last summer, however, the France international has experienced an inconsistent campaign, failing to strike up a close harmony with the likes of Lionel Messi and Luis Suarez. Barcelona remain keen on signing Neymar at the end of the season and according to Sport, the La Liga giants are open to selling Griezmann this summer in order to raise funds. The Catalan giants signed Griezmann for £110million but they are said to be open to selling Griezmann for closer to £90m in order to get him off the books. It's still unclear, whether the movie will happen or not, however, Manchester Evening News created three ways United could line up if Griezmann were to join in the summer transfer window. As a striker Griezman has enjoyed the most impressive moments in his career in Spain while playing in the role of centre-forward. He has made 496 La Liga appearances so far and the 137 of them he has played as a centre-forward. During those games, the France international has scored 75 goals and has created 28 assists. The World Cup winner could fulfil Manchester United's extra firepower, especially if Odion Ighalo not signs a long-term deal. Griezmann will play as No. 9 and it will give some flexibility in midfield with a No.10. As a winger Griezmann is a flexible player, who could find his place also as a left-winger and it will be a super addition for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer should he move to Old Trafford. The 29-year-old has made only one appearance for Barcelona as a left-winger and it was the 1-0 victory over Real Sociedad. Griezmann could help Aaron Wan-Bissaka in the front. As an attacking midfielder Despite the fact, that Griezmann has only played an out-and-out No.10 once in his career, the role of a second-striker would be the best fit of all three should he move to Old Trafford. Bruno Fernandes will drop into his deeper midfield role while it will guarantee starting roles for Marcus Rashford and Anthony Martial. Source: MEN
