Former Manchester United, Bayern Munich and Germany national team star Bastian Schweinsteiger has announced his retirement from football.
He said: "The time has now come. To the fans, you made this unbelievable time possible for me."
Schweinsteiger has spent last years of his career at Chicago Fire (2017-2019). For the MLS team, the central midfielder has made 31 appearances during 2018-19 season with having scored one goal and provided 3 assists.
The 35-year-old has won the World Cup with Germany in 2014, as well as 8 Bundesliga titles with Bayern Munich.
