Timo Werner reacts after Chelsea win to boost Champions League hopes
Timo Werner has reacted Chelsea's latest win which boosts their hope of the Champions League qualification.
The Germany international's £47.5m transfer from RB Leipzig was agreed before the 2019/20 Bundesliga season concluded and his contract at Stamford Bridge officially came into effect on July 1, 2020.
Blues boss Frank Lampard revealed last week that nor Werner or fellow new signing Hakim Ziyech has joined up with the Chelsea squad for training just yet.
"They haven't arrived. As the whole country is waiting on quarantine news we're also waiting on quarantine news, and we want to make sure the players can travel, move around and work as we'll need them to,"Lampard revealed in his pre-Watford press conference.
"Timo Werner has only finished recently, so he's having a well-deserved break and will come back later on in July."
As Werner is currently enjoying a well earned break, he has taken the time to share a message with the Blues supporters. He posted an image on Instagram - after Chelsea's 3-2 Premier League win over Crystal Palace which boosted their Champions League qualification hopes - of himself doing kick-ups under a palm tree and by a swimming pool.
The choice of emojis suggests Werner is getting ready ahead of reporting for Chelsea training where Lampard will have a plan in place for him and Ziyech.
