After Neymar’s €222 million move from Barcelona to Paris Saint-Germain, football world doesn’t get surprised when other clubs making transfers worth with less than €100m.
However, there are still European club that have transfer fee record under that number.
Bayern Munich signed Benjamin Pavard from VfB Stuttgart and two days ago signed Atletico Madrid Lucas Hernandez on a five-year deal worth a club record. Hernandez become German Club’s most expensive player ever.

Lucas Hernandez €80m
Hernandez joined Bundesliga club with a worth club record €80m. The 23-year-old, who won the 2018 World Cup with France, will join the club on 1 July.
Hernandez, who can play at both centre-back and left-back, has made 67 La Liga appearances at Atletico and won the Europa League and Super Cup.
The French international has won 15 international caps, featuring in all their World Cup games in Russia.
Corentin Tolisso €41.5
Another French star, Tolisso joined Bayern Munich from Olympic Lyon in July 2017 with a €41.5 move.
Since his transfer, the central midfielder has made 42 appearances for Bundesliga Champions, has scored eleven goals and created seven assists.
The 24-year-old, who tore his anterior cruciate ligament against Bayern Leverkusen in September, in 2018, is targeting an April return date.
Javier Martinez €40
Many fans were sceptical and did not approve of the club’s decision to spend €40 on Javi Martinez in 2012.
Martinez has made 208 appearances for the club, has scored 12 goals and has provided nine assists.
The 30-year-old stated his intentions to stay at Bayern, but in an interview with Mundo Deportivo, Athletic Bilbao president Aitor Elizegi stated that his club would be willing to pay €20m for veteran midfielder.
Arturo Vidal €37.5
Vidal joined Bayern Munich in 2015 and instantly made an impact and played an important role in the team.
In his years at the Bundesliga club, the Chilean made 124 appearances, scored 22 goals and made 18 assists.
The Chilean midfielder signed a three-year-deal with Barcelona last summer with a worth of €20m.
Mario Gotze €37
Gotze joined Bayern in 2013 from Borussia Dortmund. He was regarded as the most talented player in Germany.
The midfielder made 114 appearances for Bayern Munich, scored 36 goals and provided 24 assists
However, in July 2016, Gotze confirmed his return to Borussia with a deal worth of €26m.
Benjamin Pavard €35
In January of 2019, Bayern have announced the signing of Benjamin Pavard from VfB Stuttgart. The defender will join the club on 1 July 2019.
The centre-back has made 21 appearances for his current club.
Pavard, 23, won the World Cup 2018 with his France national team.
Matts Hummels €35
Hummels started his career at Bayern Munich’s youth academy and joined Borussia Dortmund in 2008, however, eight years later after 300 appearances with the black and yellows he joined Reds.
The 30-year-old has made 109 appearances for the Reds, has scored seven goals and has provided eight assists.
Renato Sanches €35
Sanchez agreed to join Bayern Munich in 2016. Things didn't go well for the player and he made a loan move to Swansea one year later.
However, after the end of his loan campaign, he moved back to the German club.
The 21-year-old midfielder has made 48 appearances for the club, has scored one goal and has provided three assists.
Frank Ribery €30

Current campaign will be the last for Ribery, as he announced he would make retirement at the end of the season.
Mario Gomez - Douglas Costa €30
Mario Gomez joined Bayern Munich in 2009 and played for them three years. After 174 games, 113 goals and 26 assists the German forward left the club for Fiorentina in 2013 with a four-year deal worth €20m.
He is currently playing for VfB Stuttgart.
Costa, meanwhile, joined Bayern in 2015 and two seasons later made a loan move to Juventus. Juventus made his loan move permanent in 2018 with a four-year deal for a fee of €40 million plus bonuses.
The 27-year-old made 77 appearances for Bayern Munich, scored 14 goals and provided 27 assists.
