Top 10 favorites to win Roland Garros 2024

Carlos Alcaraz just won Indian Wells and is surely in anyone's list of favorites to win the Grand Slam. Alcaraz has two Grand Slam wins in Wimbledon and US Open, while in French Open he came close to winning the title when he reached the semi-finals in 2023.
Alcaraz reached the Roland Garros final after beating Jannik Sinner. The youngster faced Alexander Zverev in the final and became the Roland Garros winner.

Sinner is also one of the favorites to win the tournament. The Italian has already won Aus Open 2024 and could end the year with two or more Grand Slam titles. Sinner reached the Indian Wells final and lost to Alcaraz. He has now reached the Miami Open final.
The Italian will become World No.1 on Monday following Djokovic's injury and withdrawal from the tournament, despite who will win Roland Garros.

Zverev has reached French Open semi-finals three years in a row since 2021. Could 2024 be the year that he reached the final? And maybe wins it? Time will tell.
Zverev is in the final and will face Alcaraz.

Novak Djokovic is the obvious favorite in any Grand Slam tournament. The 36 years has won a record 24 Grand Slam titles including three French Open titles. Last year, Djokovic defeated Casper Ruud in the final and lifted the trophy.

Medvedev reached the Indian Wells final and lost to Alcaraz. The 28-year-old has only one Grand Slam title as he won US Open in 2021. In the same year, he reached the quarter-finals of French Open and that has been his most successful Roland Garros.

Andrey Rublev doesn't have any Grand Slam titles, however, he has had success in every one of those tournaments. In French Open, Rublev reached quarter-final in 2020 and 2022.

Is Rafael Nadal playing at the 2024 French Open?
Rafael Nadal returned to court as he made his comeback from injury at the Madrid Open 2024. He suffered a defeat to Jiri Lehecka in the round of 16 and won't continue his journey in the touranment.
Fans are waiting to see Nadal play in Roland Garros. Ahead of the tournament he said:
“I’ll talk about Paris after Rome,” he said. “I would like to have certainty but I don’t have it. I’m going to explore what can happen in Rome.”
Nadal played in Italian Open and reached only round of 64 where he suffered a defeat to Hubert Hurkacz.
The Spainiard participated in the tournament but left the court after suffering a defeat in first round to Alex Zverev.
