Top 5 worst Premier League signings this season including Chelsea,  Manchester United and Arsenal players

Here you can find the 5 worst Premier League signings according to vbetnews.com. We're not saying these players couldn't play football or they are useless. No, it's just a case of bad timing.

1.     Kepa Arrizabalaga (Chelsea  £71.6m)

The Chelsea goalkeeper is topping the chart with £71.6m move from Athletic Bilbao to the Stamford Bridge. It was down to Arrizabalaga that the Blues didn’t win the Carabao Cup. The goalkeeper was fined a week's wages after appearing to disobey manager Maurizio Sarri by refusing to be substituted during Carabao Cup final. Manchester City won the Carabao Cup in a penalty shootout at Wembley after Chelsea goalkeeper Kepa Arrizabalaga defied manager Maurizio Sarri's attempt to substitute him.

2.     Joe Hart (Burnley £3.5m)

Hart close to joining Torino The former Manchester City glovesman conceded 41 in 19 games, of which Burnley won three and took just 12 points. Hart has conceded more Premier League goals this season than Mat Ryan and Martin Dubravka and hasn’t played in 2019 so far.

3.      Fred (Manchester United £52m)

Manchester United comleted the signing of Brazil’s Fred on a five-year deal. The 25-year-old joined from Shakhtar Donetsk for a reported £52m. Fred was a peripheral figure under Jose Mourinho in the first half of the season and it has been a similar story under Solskjaer. The Brazilian has only started five games out of 19 under the new boss. However, he showed an improved performance in the 3-1 win over PSG earlier this month which could serve as a turning point.

4.     Jack Wilshere (West Ham, free)

Jack Wilshere signed for West Ham United on a three-year contract after departing Arsenal as a free agent following 17 years at the club. Initially Manuel Pellegrini rated the former Arsenal star highly as he admitted the he could have cost West Ham £100 million. However, his free transfer feels line money wasted, especially on a lucrative three-year contract. After playing a full 90 minutes in each of West Ham’s first three matches this season, Wilshere’s body quickly broke down. He played just 64 minutes against Wolverhampton Wanderers in the season’s fourth fixture. All four of the Hammers’ opening four matches ended in a loss. West Ham finally won their first game of the season when Wilshere was left out of the squad for their fifth match. That game saw West Ham defeat Everton 3-1 and it was the catalyst to a three-game unbeaten run. The 27-year-old midfielder has shown over the course of his career that he cannot stay fit. West Ham took a big gamble on him and it is not paying off.

5.  Stephan Lichtsteiner  (Arsenal, free)

The Switzerland captain became the first new recruit since Emery took charge following the departure of Arsene Wenger. The former Juvnetus player won the Serie A title in each of his seven years with the Italian giants and signed for the Gunners ahead of leading his country into the World Cup in Russia. However, Lichtsteiner has struggled badly in the Premier League, though, frequently looking off the pace against the division’s wide men. His display in the 3-1 defeat by Manchester City was one of the worst individual performances of the season so far.
