It’s just one week until the transfer window closes and the latest transfer so far was Higuain’s move to Premier League. Chelsea have signed Juventus striker Gonzalo Higuain on loan for the remainder of the season with an option to buy him for 36m euros.
Earlier this month Borussia Dortmund have confirmed that Christian Pulisic will join Chelsea for €64m (£58m), with the United States forward to be loaned back to the Bundesliga leaders until the end of the season.
Meanwhile, Chelsea star Cesc Fabregas has completed his move to Monaco.
Barcelona have signed Frenkie de Jong from Ajax who is Barcelona’s third signing of this January transfer window along with Jeison Murillo and Kevin-Prince Boateng.
AC Milan have signed Lucas Paqueta of Flamengo and signed a long-term deal with Genoa star Krzystof Piatek.
Tottenham midfielder Mousa Dembele has completed his move to Chinese Super League side Guangzhou R&F, while Mario Balotelli has completed his move to Marseille from Nice.
Benjamin Pavard will join Bayern Munich in the summer in a deal expected to be worth €35m.
However, alongside with done deals, there are transfers that are expected to be finalized before the end of the transfer window.
Alvaro Morata
Chelsea striker Alvaro Morata will undergo a medical in Spain on Thursday as he closes in on completing his move to Atletico Madrid. His departure from west London has been signed off following the confirmation of Gonzalo Higuain’s arrival on loan deal from Juventus.
Morata made it clear that he wanted to leave the club during the January transfer window.
“I think that Morata is a very good player," he told reporters ahead of Thursday's Carabao Cup semi-final second leg against Tottenham. "I think that Morata has the characteristics for playing in my team
"But Morata, one month ago, said he wanted to play in another team.
"So it was really very difficult for him to give us the 100 per cent for his mental situation. But I think that Morata is potentially a very important player. From the physical and technical point of view, he is a very good player and suitable for my football.
"The situation changed in the last month. So we needed to change. I don't know [about the transfer market]. As you know very well, I don't want to follow the market day by day. I don't know the actual situation. Morata told me 10 days ago that there was an opportunity in Spain, but I don't know where.
Cullum Hudson-Odoi
Liverpool have made a late bid to convince Hudson-Odoi to reject Bayern Munich and move to Anfield from Chelsea.
Bayern Munich have made an offer of £35million for the 18-year-old after three other bids were rejected.
Meanwhile, Hudson Odoi and his brother – who is also his agent – met up with representatives from Liverpool at the start of January as they joined the race for his signature.
Hudson-Odoi is understood to want to leave the club due to the lack of first-team opportunities despite Chelsea offering him a new deal worth £70,000-a-week.
Michy Batshuayi
Michy Batshuayi’s loan move to Monaco is being held up by Chelsea, who want to offload the Belgian striker permanently. However, Everton's stance on the 25-year-old has not changed, despite reports claiming the Blues were lining up a £40m move.
Batshuayi has spent the first half of the season on loan at Valencia but has struggled to make an impact, scoring just three goals in 23 appearances.
Last January, Batshuayi was sent on a short-term loan to Borussia Dortmund, where he bagged an impressive seven goals in 10 Bundesliga matches.
Aaron Ramsey
Juventus are ready to offer Arsenal a player in exchange for Aaron Ramsey in a bid to land the Welshman this month. The 28-year-old already completed a medical with the Serie A club ahead of the summer switch.
However, Juventus are looking into the option of signing him early and hope a player in exchange may convince Arsenal to part company with Ramsey early. The player in question is young goalkeeper Emil Audero.
Adrien Rabiot
Paris Saint Germain midfielder Adrien Rabiot’s contract runs out in the summer and reports have suggested that the 23-year-old has agreed on a signing on fee of €10m (£9m) as well as a salary of just over £170,000 a week for five years with Barcelona.
Rabiot has been at PSG since 2012. Despite being one of his country’s best young player he has played only six times for the France national team.
Leandro Paredes
Paris Saint-Germain are set to beat Chelsea to the signing of midfielder Leandro Paredes for around 40million euros (£34.9million).
The 24-year-old Argentinean – who has nine caps for his country - was in Paris on Wednesday ahead of securing the move with sources confident that it will go through.
