Top five most searched players in January transfer window

The January transfer window closes for Premier League clubs later today, at 11pm GMT after 30 days of exciting transfer business. Clubs across Europe have strengthened their teams for the latter half of the season, however, there are still several deals which hang in balance as they find against time to complete the deals including Ivan Perisic to Arsenal, Adrien Rabiot to Liverpool, and Miguel Almiron to Newcastle among others. But who are the most searched players who interested supporters most throughout January transfer window. Google Trands published the names of top 5 searched players with Barcelona player Denis Suarez topping the list. 1: Denis Suarez Barcelona midfielder Denis Suarez has been a target for Arsenal since the opening of transfer window. The player has finally completed his loan move to Arsenal with an option to make the deal permanent in the summer. Suarez will become a fresh option for his former manager Unai Emery’s side on the wing. 2: Timo Werner Suarez is followed by Liverpool target Timo Werner. The RB Leipzig striker is young and talented and could be a good edition to Jurgen Klopp’s side. But reportedly, the Reds would have to shell out around €70million to land Werner. Bild say RB Leipzig have offered him a bumper new contract with that sum as the release clause. Werner could choose to stay at Bundesliga which would give Liverpool their price if they decide they want to land their man in the summer. 3: James Rodriguez Next most searched player is James Rodriguez. The Real Madrid player who is currently on loan at Bayern Munich reportedly doesn’t want to continue his stay at Bundesliga after two-year loan spell. Bayern have the option to buy James for €42m at the end of the season. If Bayern do not exercise the option, James will return to Real Madrid, where he is under contract until 2021. The Colombian has also been a target for Arsenal. If the deal were through James would bring some quality to the Gunners’ squad as he capable of playing in the middle of the park and control the game. Arsenal definitely need an attacking midfielder but with January window closing, no signs of a potential deal can be noticed. #4: Nabil Fekir   Liverpool were trying to sign Fekir yet in the summer but the deal was collapsed in the last minute. The Lyon forward almost joined the Reds in the summer and was pictured in a red shirt, before a £60million transfer fell through over concerns Liverpool had with Fekir’s medical. During January transfer window Liverpool showed no interest in Fekir, however, supporters have appeared to actively search the French player. 5: Gonzalo Higuain The last most searched player is Juventus striker Gonzalo Higuain who joined Chelsea on loan. Higuain spent the first half of the season on loan at AC Milan but struggled to find his best form at San Siro, scoring eight goals in 22 appearances. He finally completed a loan move to Chelsea and rejoined with his former manager Maurizio Sarri.
