Tottenham are sure they can complete Real Madrid forward Gareth Bale's transfer till the deadline is over.
Spurs have constantly been linked with their former player, who moved to Santiago Bernabeu in 2013 for record-breaking transfer fee of £85 million.
According to
The Times, Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy has flown out to Spain to discuss a deal with Florentino Perez.
But the 30-year-old's £500,000-a-week salary at Madrid can cause a problem for the North London club.
However, Real Madrid boss Zinedine Zidane have stated on Friday that Bale will stay with the squad.
“Gareth is here with us and I am counting on him," he told the
Mirror.
"I am not contemplating the possibility (of Bale leaving).”
Bale has netted 105 times and provided 67 assists during his time at Los Blancos, but a couple of injuries have hampered his case for regular football.
