Tottenham have reiterated their stance that Harry Kane is not for sale amid Manchester City links.
The England captain dropped a bombshell before the start of Euro 2020 when he revealed he wanted to have a conversation with Spurs chairman Daniel Levy over his future, with a desire to win silverware his motivating factor for wanting to leave.
However, newly-appointed Spurs director of football Fabio Paratici explained why Kane is a key part of his plans at north London, with the club having no intention to sell.
He said:
"Keeping him is not just my goal, it's our goal as a club.
"He is able to shoot with both feet and also provides many assists - very few people notice this, because he scores so many goals.
"He's a team player, but he's a finisher at the same time, so really I believe he is among the top three in the world."
Paratici continued:
"I haven't heard from him yet because I don't want to bother the players who are busy at the Euros, it doesn't seem fair to me. They're focused on their own goals with their national teams."
