Fabrizio Romano has confirmed that Djed Spence has landed in France to undergo medical tests with Rennes.
The 22-year-old is expected to join the Ligue 1 side on a loan deal until the end of the current season.
Spence joined the North Londoners in last summer in a £12.5m deal from Middlesbrough. During the half of the season spent under Antonio Conte, the right-back couldn't find his place in the Italian coach's pecking order; managing to play just 41 minutes so far.
Alongside Rennes, Atletico Madrid and Sassuolo were also interested in the Englishman's services, however, he chose the French outfit after all and will spend the remaining season with Tottenham club-mate Joe Rodon.
