Trent Alexander-Arnold reveals truth about Barcelona corner in Champions League semi-final

Liverpool eliminated Barcelona from the Champions League semi-final and went on winning the title during the last season. The Reds youngster Trent Alexander-Arnold played a key role in their 4-0 comeback over the La Liga side in the semi-final second leg as it was thanks to his improvisation that Liverpool scored the 4th goal. Months later, the Red youngster has revealed the truth behind his corner kick in the Champions League semi-final. "We hadn’t practised it," Alexander-Arnold told Mail Online. "It was just instinctive. I just saw an opportunity and took it. "I saw people turning their backs, people not looking at the ball, I saw the keeper trying to give instructions to someone. There was not one Barcelona player looking at the ball. "I saw Divock Origi in the middle. I saw one red shirt in the middle of the box and I thought, 'Why not?' "If it hadn’t worked, I would have been shouted at. "The thought process was half a second but it was worth the risk in my eyes. Div never even got a shout. I just hit it and thought, 'let’s see what happens'." via Mirror
