Turkish Football Federation has submitted their bid book to host UEFA EURO 2024. The German Football Association also officially submitted their application on Tuesday.
Turkey has never hosted a major tournament, after unsuccessful bids to host Euro 2008 and the 2012 and 2016 finals on its own.
“It’s now our time, and we are ready to share together with the whole of Europe,” said TFF president Yildirim Demiroren.
“All guarantees are given without any reservations, including some additional and innovative guarantees that will ensure the financial success of the tournament-thereby benefitting all UEFA member associations.”
On 27 September, the UEFA Executive Committee will vote on who has won the right to host UEFA Euro 2024. Which is expected to use the 24-team format introduced for Euro 2016.
