Two Liverpool players join the squad after serious injuries

Joe Gomez and Virgil Van Dijk join Liverpool squad for pre-season training camp in Austria. Van Dijk hasn't played since October and Gomez since November both due to serious knee injuries but they will join the Liverpool squad at their base in the state of Tyrol. The 2021/22 pre-season training will kick off in Austria on Monday. The Reds' assistant manager Pepijn Lijnders told liverpoolfc.com: “We look forward to going to Austria again for the start of our pre-season. All the conditions to prepare the team there are just at a very high level,” He also added: "We will use this to go back to basics.
