Tyson Fury has blamed Josh Warrington’s shock defeat to Mauricio Lara on his lack of activity in the ring. The Brit accepted a tune-up bout against the Mexican but was stunned by his unknown opponent. Fury reacted on social media: “Tonight the fight world seen another victim of inactivity in Josh Warrington. COVID has destroyed a lot of careers. Can’t beat staying active.” Interestingly though, some fans took this tweet to be a subtle message about his fight with Anthony Joshua. At the start of this month, Fury also put Conor McGregor’s defeat to Dustin Poirier down to inactivity and even suggested it could affect him if his fight with AJ is confirmed to take place next as expected.
