Tyson Fury is set to face unbeaten southpaw Otto Wallin in Las Vegas on September 14.
The WBC have a newly-started tradition to create special trinket belts and award them to fights taking place on the weekend of the two major Mexican holidays each year – Cinco De Mayo and Mexican Independence Day. The Gypsy King is set to compete for the WBC ‘Mayan’ belt.
As a result, the heavyweight star has talked-up his desire to represent Mexico this weekend. During his press conference, a journalist decided to put him to the test by asking a question in Spanish.
Having been asked a lengthy question which even bemused the translator, Fury offered a quick response.
"Well yes, I am the Gypsy King, El Rey Gitano" he responded. "It is a privilege to be boxing on Mexican Independence weekend. I'm going to put on a fantastic show, and yes I do love big cuddly toys and crayons, thank you very much! And I do like being tickled, yes!"
