How the Champions League last-16 draw works
- There will be 16 teams competing in the next stage of the Champions League.
- Two seeding pots will be formed: each of them containing eight names from the group winners ((seeded teams) and the runners-up (unseeded teams).
- The teams can not face any team from their own association.
- The seeded teams will play their round-16 first leg away, while the second leg will be played at their home stadium.
When will the Champions League round of 16 start?
The Champions League round of 16 first legs are scheduled for 14/15/21/22 February. The second legs will take place on 7/8/14/15 March.
