Arsenal will be hosting Qarabag FK in the UEFA Europa League, tomorrow night.
The Gunners are at the top of the group with 13 points, while Qarabag is 4th with 3 points.
Ahead of the game Unai Emery has given a press conference. He spoke about the clash against Qarabag and the defensive injuries, as well as about Mesut Ozil.
On Qarabag clash
“Our first aim in this competition we have done.
“To be first in the group, but we respect this competition and Qarabag and tomorrow our objective is to win and we are going to give players chances to take responsibility.”
On Koscielny
“We are going to use tomorrow some different players coming from the Under-23s and in our planning is to start playing with Laurent Koscielny.”
On defensive injuries
“We have some players with injuries at centre-back - we are going to decide after tomorrow’s match (whether Koscielny plays v Southampton).
“We are going to see if he can play 90 minutes. [But] we can use another player in this position, like Nacho Monreal, Lichtsteiner. So we will decide, but first we think about the game tomorrow.”
On Mesut Ozil
“I don’t know. Tomorrow he is in the group, the 18 players for this match.
“We are going to decide if he will play tomorrow from the beginning or during the 90 minutes.”
On Arsenal players & 'hippy crack' story
“The club said to you that this discussion is inside between us. For me the most important thing is not to lose our focus. I trust my players, I trust their behaviour.”
