Unai Emery sets a monumental challenge for Arsenal

Arsenal boss Unai Emery wants his club to be the great entertainers of Europe as he looks for an 11th straight win this evening. The Gunners have scored 32 goals in 11 games since losing 2-0 to champions Manchester City in Emery’s first game in charge. He insists: “I want our supporters to be excited about the things they see on the pitch. “To score this kind of goals is very important for this spectacle. The individual scoring statistics mean a lot to me. “I want the strikers to have a lot of chances but we also want to score with as many different players as we can. “The Europa League is a very important competition for us because first of all it is a big title to play for and then it is also a way into next year’s Champions League for the winners. “But Sporting Lisbon is a very good team with a lot of experience in Europe and we are the two teams who are favourites to finish top of this group. “It’s a very big match for us to continue our way of winning and improving tactically. The level in this competition is now very high and we are here to win against Sporting.”

Paul Pogba: “Juventus developed me as a player; but Man Utd…”
