Arsenal boss Unai Emery has played down any suggestions that he snubbed shaking hands with rival Chelsea manager Maurizio Sarri after Saturday’s 3-2 defeat at Stamford Bridge.
The Blues secured a 3-2 win over Arsenal due to goals from Pedro, Alvaro Morata and Marcos Alonso.
The manager did the same last week at the Emirates when his side lost to Manchester City.
Asked if he had avoided a handshake, Emery laughed: ‘No, I waited in the dressing room to give him the hand, no problem. We want to win. This is always the way but it is clear that defensively we suffered three goals but also we had chances to do more goals. ‘I think the result is 3-2 but we also think we did chances to do more score. In the first half we are creating chances to score, and for that I am happy, I am in the match thinking we are well on the pitch.”
