Napoli are interested in Chelsea’s Emerson Palmieri, according to Italian journalist Ciro Venerato. Speaking to CalcioNapoli24 today, he stated that the news has been confirmed by the club’s management and sporting leaders. Napoli manager Gennaro Gattuso and sporting director Cristiano Giuntoli have put the Blues defender on top of the list of left-back targets. They have already made the first contact with his entourage and proposed a five-year deal worth €3m net per season. Any approach from Napoli for Emerson will see them deal with Chelsea and their ‘fearsome’ director Marina Granovskaia.
