Tottenham’s Victor Wanyama is convinced his club can turn around a poor start to the season.
This season’s start was not the best for Tottenham, as they managed to win only three of their played 11 games, and suffered one of the biggest home defeats- 7-2 Champions League loss to Bayern Munich.
Spurs’ defensive midfield shared his views on that insisting that the North London club would be back to their best.
After Kenya 1-0 defeat to Mozambique in a friendly, Wanyama said: “
We (Tottenham) are facing tough times and my focus is fully helping the team overcome that. We are working very hard and shall be back to our best.” (Quoted by Nairobi News)
The Kenyan international has been struggling to break into the Spurs squad, but earlier told the Goal he was intended to regain his position at the club:
“Of course I was unsettled with the transfer news because it was coming in the news every day. I don’t think it is difficult to win my position back, I just need to push myself even harder and keep working hard in training to achieve the same and I know it will happen soon.”
