After yesterday's 6-0 win over Watford in the FA Cup final, Manchester City defender Vincent Kompany confirmed that he will leave the club in summer.
Kompany announced that he will be returning to Anderlecht to become player-manager of the Belgian club.
The Citizen's defender made his professional debut for Belgium's biggest club as a 16-year-old, making 103 appearances before leaving for Hamburg.
"I choose to be grateful for the past but remain ambitious and driven for the future," wrote Kompany in his Facebook page.
"For the next three years, I will take up the role of Player-Manager of RSC Anderlecht.
"As a footballer, I was born and raised at RSC Anderlecht. Since the age of 6, I have been one with that club. A history of 34 league titles, they are second to none."
