Virgil van Dijk says even Liverpool are human, despite their Champions League scare.
Champions League holders Liverpool saw off a remarkable fightback from Red Bull Salzburg to win 4-3 at Anfield.
Van Dijk suggested it is almost pointless trying to over-analyse such a bonkers game:
“Everyone wants to panic and stress and maybe look for all the negatives, but we shouldn’t - I’m not even looking at the negatives.
“We know we can do better, but we are human beings and we can’t always play the perfect game. We have the three points and that’s the most important thing. We could have done better, we know we should have done better, but we are humans, and sometimes it happens.”
