2018/19 season was a success for Virgil van Dijk and Liverpool. The Reds finished 2nd in the Premier League and won the Champions League after having reached the final for the second year in a row.
Many have praised the defender for his dedication and excellent work done for the club but the defender himself had few names that he thinks have impressed during the season.
Van Dijk had a special praise for left-back Andrew Robertson and young right-back Trent Alexander-Arnold for the part they played.
“I have been consistent. I’ve been feeling great, with the help – obviously – of all my teammates. But everyone has been fantastic,” Van Dijk told
Liverpool's official website.
“If you look around the team, Robbo has had his best season ever. Trent has been amazing for such a young guy, so mature.
"And all the centre-backs. And obviously the rest of the team have been performing at such a high level.”
