Liverpool lost 2-0 in their opening Champions League game against Napoli on Tuesday, September 17.
After the game, the Reds defender Virgil van Dijk has revealed that the defeat is not an occasion to panic.
“We have been performing since the start of the season outstanding, and so there is no reason to panic," Van Dijk.
“It shouldn’t be a wake up call. We played well, we put them under pressure. There were a lot of positive things, the only thing not positive was the result.”
“Yeah, they made a lot of problems for Napoli, and we had a lot of opportunities, we hurt them a lot, a very strong side on their own ground.
“You can pick the other pass instead of the right pass - there are always some moments in games that could go better.”
Liverpool's upcoming game is in the Premier League with Chelsea on Sunday, September 22.
