Voetbal: Bayern Munich's move for Sergino Dest has been put on hold

Ajax full-back Sergino Dest confirms the interest from Bundesliga giants Bayern Munich after visiting back in February. The 19-year-old has established himself in the first team this season. Dest has made 36 appearances across all competitions and directly contributing to eight goals. However, it is very likely that he will be at Ajax for another year. According to Voetbal International journalist Marco Timmer, Dest will stay at the Dutch club for at least another season.

"I understand it was put on hold by Bayern. I had contact with his management. It is not going ahead, as I have been told. That means it's likely he could stay at Ajax for at least another year. I already had contact with Marc Overmars, and he said: 'I expect it will be done, it will just take a little longer'. But that was before the coronavirus"
