New Orleans Pelicans star, five-time All-star, Anthony Davis has long been linked with a move to the Los Angeles Lakers.
However, according to Sports Illustrated, the Lakers are not the only team interested.
Boston Celtics are willing to offer up former first-round draft pick Jayson Tatum for the forward.
Meanwhile, Dan Devine of The Ringer podcast reports that the Golden State Warriors see Davis as their next superstar, and will make a move this summer.
“The Warriors have also long had an interest in Davis as a potential bridge to a new era in their dynastic operation,” he explained on The Ringer.
“Though finding a package the Pelicans would take that doesn’t include Durant or Stephen Curry would be pretty tough. A Davis deal could alter the face of the league. In addition, in today’s NBA, teams start getting ready for that sort of opportunity years in advance. Don’t expect the chance to make a slight upgrade to their rotation now to get in the way of that, even for teams with a chance to win the championship this season.”
