Golden State Warriors superstar Stephen Curry came out firing on Sunday to show the NBA that he is still the same potent scorer that won three championships over the last five years, fueled by their recent 25-blowout loss to the Portland Trail Blazers.
As he anchored the Warriors’ offense against the Blazers, he set a new career-high 62 points. Chef Curry tied his previous personal high of 54 points via free throws on the 3:35 mark in the final quarter, and it didn’t take long for him to break that tally–one minute and 11 seconds later to be exact.
Curry finished the night with a 58.1 percent (18-of-31) shooting clip, including an efficient 8-of-16 shooting from downtown. He also recorded five rebounds and four assists in the contest.
