Wayne Rooney close to move to MLS

Wayne Rooney is close to a sensational summer move to Major League Soccer side DC United. The Everton’s striker’s agent is having talks with the MLS side as Rooney is poised to make a switch this summer. If the deal is done, Rooney will take up the challenge of playing abroad for the first time in his career. Though the former England captain has still one year left on his current contract with Everton, he is eager to be one of the star players in MLS. After a bright start to his second spell with Everton, Rooney has struggled for game time since Allardyce took charge.
