Sadio Mane has shared his high praise for the Liverpool teammate Diogo Jota, claiming they are lucky to have him in the team.
Jota has established himself as one of the key players in Jurgen Klopp's squad, since making a move to Anfield back in 2020.
Unlike other players, the former Wolves man is capable to use both feet at a very high level, and Mane has admitted he is not sure which one is his teammate's favourite foot.
“Until now, I don’t know if he’s right or left-footed,” he told
Soccer AM after finding out Jota was FIFA 22’s Liverpool player with the strongest weak foot.
“Today I will ask him if he’s playing right or left foot. I don’t know which foot is more comfortable!”
Speaking about the impact Jota has on the team, Mane added:
“When he came, he fit in the squad, showed how good he is and how lucky we are.”
“Having Jota last year, he helped us a lot. We got many more points when we were all struggling – especially miself.
“He was scoring many goals and is still showing this year, scoring goals – we’re lucky to have him."
