Chelsea are demanding payment from Sassuolo in order for the Blues to abandon their buy-back clause on former winger Jeremie Boga, according to reports.
Boga joined Sassuolo for €3million (£2.7m) in 2018 and has impressed in Serie A this season, as he has scored eight goals and two assists for Sassuolo in 24 league appearances.
A number of clubs are said to be keen on signing the 23-year-old in the summer transfer window.
However, Chelsea have the opportunity to scupper these suitors’ plans by exercising a €15m (£13.6m) buy-back option on their former player.
According to Calciomercato, the Blues are prepared to waive their right to re-sign Boga if Sassuolo pay a fee.
The Italian outlet claim Chelsea want an €11.5m (£10.4m) payment to abandon their option.
