Liverpool's Diogo Jota will reportedly be ruled out for at least two months after suffering a knee injury in the side’s Champions League clash with Midtjylland on Wednesday.
The 24-year-old had been in outstanding form since completing a £41million move from Wolves in the summer – scoring nine goals in his opening 17 apperances for his new club – and Jurgen Klopp will be devastated to be without the forward for Liverpool’s busy winter schedule.
According to
Record, the Portugal international will be out of action for the next two months, meaning Liverpool will be heavily reliant on Sadio Mane, Mohamed Salah and Roberto Firmino for the foreseeable future.
It means Jota could be absent for as many as 13 games for Liverpool, including both the home and away fixtures with joint leaders Tottenham.
