Rasmus Hojlund has successfully completed his medical examination at Manchester United, moving one step closer to joining the club at Old Trafford.
The talented player from Atalanta is set to become the third signing of the Red Devils in this summer's transfer window following the arrivals of Mason Mount and Andre Onana.
The Hojlund deal amounts to £72 million, with £64 million being paid upfront. While the transfer is nearly completed, United intend to introduce their new player to the public before the friendly match against Lens on Saturday, according to the latest report by Mail Sport journalist Simon Jones.
If Hojlund's transfer is finalized during this weekend, he will have a complete week to train with United before their Premier League opener against Wolverhampton Wanderers on August 14 in the 2023/24 season.
Consequently, he is unlikely to participate in the match against Lens. However, there is a possibility that the forward might make his debut in the game against Athletic Bilbao in Dublin on Sunday.
