Barcelona's captain Sergio Busquets has departed from the club and joined Inter Miami along with former Barca star Lionel Messi.
Busquets was appointed as Barca captain in 2021 following Lionel Messi's departure.
Now, Sergi Roberto has been appointed the club's captain for the 2023/24 season.
The captain for 2024/25 season is yet to be revealed.
Who is Barcelona's captain for 2024/25
The official captains for FC Barcelona's 2023/24 season are Sergi Roberto, Marc ter Stegen, Ronald Araujo, and Frenkie de Jong. They will hold the captaincy in that respective order. The selection of captains was based on a player vote conducted in Los Angeles.
Roberto has been moved up from his previous role as the team's third captain for the past two seasons. He assumed this position following the departure of Leo Messi in 2021.
