According to Liverpool spokesperson, Fenway Sports Groups owners have not any intentions to sell the club.
As suggested earlier, FSG were interested in selling shares of Merseyside club for $1.5-2 bn. Abu Dhabi-based Sheik Khaled Bin Zayed Al Nehayan, the cousin of Manchester City owner Sheik Mansour was linked with the possible deal in August.
“As loath as we are to give a story of this nature a meaningful response, on behalf of the club’s ownership I can completely dismiss this unfounded speculation.
“To repeat once again, the club is not for sale, including any ‘quiet process’ or anything of that nature.” Liverpool spokesperson said (via
