Son Heung-min has confidently stated that Arsenal will not relish the prospect of facing Tottenham in the upcoming North London Derby.
Under their new manager Ange Postecoglou, Tottenham have had an impressive start to the season and currently occupy the second spot in the Premier League table, having secured four wins in their first five games. Arsenal have a similar record, with their only dropped points coming from a draw against Fulham before the international break.
While the Gunners dominated both North London derbies last season with victories at both their own ground and Spurs' stadium, Son Heung-min believes that this time, Tottenham will present a significantly different and more formidable challenge for their rivals. In his view, Arsenal won't be looking forward to facing Spurs this season.
The Spurs captain shared his thoughts with The Times ahead of the highly-anticipated clash at the Emirates Stadium this Sunday.
“[Arsenal] won’t want to face us at this time. Everyone is running for each other, everyone is fighting for each other," he said, via TBR Football. “
If someone comes off you give a hand off and everyone is happy to do that. That makes us really strong as a team.”
