Jurgen Klopp has raved about Manchester City star Riyad Mahrez following Liverpool's EFL Cup game with the Citizens.
The Reds were knocked out of the Carabao Cup Round of 16 when facing Pep Guardiola's side following the international break.
Magrez scored one of the winning goals for his side to secure City's place in the quarter-finals of the domestic competition.
After the game, Klopp shared his high praise for the rivals club's man, claiming he is a 'world-class'.
“We should have defended all three goals much better,” the Liverpool manager said, via HITC.
“(City’s second goal) Riyad takes the ball with the first touch, it’s just world-class. And I respect that a lot. But before, on the side, we should be in better positions.”
