Arsene Wenger’s successor at the Emirates Unai Emery will definitely not have time to have rest this summer as they all are facing a huge debut season in the Premier League. As soon as Emery arriveed to north London he started working with chief executive Ivan Gazidis, and head of football relations Raul Sanllehi and managed to bring in Stephan Lichtsteiner on a free transfer.
First of all Emery will start preparations for club’s first friendly of the summer to take place on July 14. Arsenal only have eight players away at the World Cup, so a large number of the squad will report back on the first day of pre-season, including the likes of Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, Henrikh Mkhitaryan, Alexandre Lacazette and Hector Bellerin.
Emery’s next step will be contract talks. Aaron Ramsey’s future at the club remains on doubt as he will depart from Arsenal in case he rejects signing a new deal. Emery is a big admirer of Ramsey so all the stuff will convince him to stay .Talks will also be held with Danny Welbeck when he returns from World Cup. Though Arsenal have many talented and skillful players, anyway, they need new signings. There will still be at least one arrival in the midfield area with Sampdoria’s Lucas Torreira on Arsenal radar.Emery and his coaching staff will be drawing up a detailed training regime to ensure those who do return at the start of July as former PSG boss want to bring a more intense style of play at the Emirates.
