Zinedine Zidane claims his future ‘doesn’t depend on winning Champions League’

Real Madrid boss Zinedine Zidane has stated that his future doesn’t depend on winning the Champions League ahead of semi-final second leg with Bayern Munich. If Madrid win, it will be their third consecutive season to gain the title. Los Blancos have real chances to do so as they beat Bayern 2-1 in the first leg in Germany and are 15 points behind new champions Barcelona in La Liga. When Zidane was asked if he had to win the tournament to keep his job, he said: "It's independent of that. "But it's not important. What matters to everyone is thinking about this game and that's it. "The key for us is think about winning the game and to go on to the pitch wanting to do that," Zidane said. "We need to go out to score quickly and that's what we'll try to do." The France legend emphasized that he is the coach and he will keep on doing his job regardless of the results. Real Madrid have never knocked out of Champions League under Zinedine Zidane.
