Manchester United boss Erik ten Hag informs that Anthony is "unlikely" to appear in the FA Cup final due to a "serious" injury sustained during the 4-1 victory over Chelsea on May 25.
While the Red Devils were earning their ticket to the Champions League, two of them, Anthony and Luke Shaw, were sent off the pitch due to injuries. The Brazil international had to be substituted in the 29th minute after hurting his ankle.
When asked if the 23-year-old will play in the decisive match the Dutch manager said, “Unlikely, still a chance but a really small chance". According to ten Hag Anthony's has not experienced any progress regarding his physical condition in the past days.
In his debut season at the club, the Brazillian attempted to make three assists and score eight goals. By missing the FA Cup final, he is missing the first-ever major final between the two Manchester clubs.
The decisive match will take place on June 3 at Wembley Stadium where Pep Guardiola's side will give its best to secure their second trophy on their way to the historic treble.
